Fitzroy 4 stop single row melodeon in the key of in C. A fairly typical Saxony built box. Brass reeds on long zinc plates, all look clean and no broken tongues. Leather valves all need to be replaced. Woodwork and bellows are sound. The treble pallets need adjusting and possibly re-facing to make them airtight. One stop is missing its knob. The three stops with knobs all open and close. I can’t get a good enough grip to test the one with the missing knob, but it all looks ok inside – see photos. Missing stop now replaced.
Selling as a restoration project, it does play as it is, but not in good tune and with lots of valve noise. £50 including UK delivery.
