Superb playing Lachenal CG 40 key anglo concertina. It has rosewood ends, steel reeds and has been renovated in recent years with new pads and valves and tuning to concert pitch. It measures 6 1/4″ across the flats. Serial number 144245 – built around 1900. The six fold bellows are recent and are in as new condition. This is a very unusual and desirable concertina. Unlike nearly all rosewood ended Lachenals this has nickel buttons which appear to be original. It is also very unusual to find a rosewood Lachenal with more than 32 buttons. Overall it is a lovely and versatile instrument with great reed response and a sweet tone with plenty of volume available when required.
